Would someone share when you need to append to an existing recording? Could you describe the use case? Technically it is possible to add to un-compressed recordings, but that would take 20 times more space on the phone then usual. Or we can skip compression on some recordings that would allow adding. Or we can allow adding to last 10 recorded recordings, for example. So need to know more details behind the need of adding to the existing recordings.

Why not just create a special folder and move that special recording there?
Have you discovered that tapping on a folder plays all recordings in it?
Why not just open the recording in a Sound Editor?
There is a ton of sound editors in the AppStore paid and free. You can append, merge, cut, split, amplify, do what ever with recordings.
Then open edited recording in this Recorder to import it back for playback.
