Option to merge or add to recording
Sometimes I wish I could merge recordings. Because I might add something and I've already hit that back button. Or it might be a bit later.
Would someone share when you need to append to an existing recording? Could you describe the use case? Technically it is possible to add to un-compressed recordings, but that would take 20 times more space on the phone then usual. Or we can skip compression on some recordings that would allow adding. Or we can allow adding to last 10 recorded recordings, for example. So need to know more details behind the need of adding to the existing recordings.

I would like a similar editing feature: trim a recording. Sometimes I record something written on paper or even my iPhone. The result is a long pause in the begin of the recoding while I fiddle...
In the meantime, I will look up the option of exporting/reimporting from an editing app. Thanks.

I would love to have this feature too. I use it all the time on my digital recorder. I add to a track when doing the 2-handed exercise and often when I'm listening back to an older recording and it generates a new insight I add it to that track. Thanks.
I use many folders. The add-on feature would allow even better organization and access to insights on a particular issue. I often work on more than one subtopic within a folder.
Interesting... are you using folders to organize recordings? Why not add to the same folder? I usually tap a folder to listen on a topic.
Of course I could use a sound editor but that's a lot more work.
The main point is to be able to add a few thoughts/insights quickly to the end of a recording.
I have a lot of bits of recordings where I think of something to add after turning off the recorder or have additional thoughts drop in later during the day.
Why not just open the recording in a Sound Editor?
There is a ton of sound editors in the AppStore paid and free. You can append, merge, cut, split, amplify, do what ever with recordings.
Then open edited recording in this Recorder to import it back for playback.
